Enhanced Safety Measures for Teen Users
Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has rolled out new features aimed at enhancing the safety of teenage users on its platforms as of Wednesday.
These features include providing information about accounts that send messages to teen users, along with the ability to block or report these accounts with just a single tap.
Additionally, Meta announced the deactivation of thousands of accounts involved in making sexual comments or soliciting explicit images from children under the age of 13.
According to a blog post from the company, 135,000 accounts were blocked for making sexual remarks, while another 500,000 accounts were removed for engaging in inappropriate conversations.
